New Workshops on the Go Program:
Close To My Heart has put together a fantastic new system for the workshops on the go!(*note artwork shown online is not the same as the workshop) Each month will still feature an exclusive Jeanette Lynton original layout using one of the fabulous new paper packs from the fall/winter idea book, however each guide now includes a new card pattern featured three different ways for a 6-card workshop! We will be holding several different dates for the latyout workshops, still building six pages, and currently have one night a month scheduled for the new card workshop (this will only increase with interest). In addition to the card workshop there will be an EXCLUSIVE b-sized stamp set featured at each workshop and several different pricing options for your shopping needs! (see below).
As our traditional clubs are being replaced with workshops on the go and technique days, we still want to offer rewards to customers who attend our classes by introducing an open club concept. Each month we will feature one of the fabulous new workshops on the go on several different dates. In September, any person attending a workshop will have their names drawn for placement on their list (we will have three separate lists, Strathmore, Nanton, and Okotoks). Depending on the number of people attending the workshop, we will reward $30 to the top person(s) on the list. Any new people joining us that evening will be added to the bottom of the list and any person(s) rewarded will revolve to the bottom of the list as well. If you are unable to attend one of the workshops for the month, you can purchase a kit complete with instructions and cutting guide and keep your place on the list. If you don't purchase a kit that month, your name simply moves to the bottom of the list.
One other small change to the workshops on the go program is a new open club concept that rewards those who attend regularly and gives everyone the flexibility to pick and choose which workshops they attend based on their schedule! The classic 6 pages for one price option will include paper pack, featured accessory, workshop guide and all other necessary materials to complete the workshop.
Basic: $43.31
Exclusively for the workshops on the go program, Close To My Heart has bundled together kits that feature all of the basic materials to complete the workshop. These kits include one of the four new paper packs, coordinating accessory, workshop guide and EXCLUSIVE b-sized stamp set not available for purchase anywhere in the idea book. As an added bonus, these kits are priced at less than retail value!

Love the look of "blinged-out" layouts, but your stamp box is already overflowing? You can purchase all of the materials to complete the workshop and just use our stamp set during the class. The price varies slightly from month to month depending on the accessories used, but you will go home with tons of extra goodies to use on multiple other projects!

Do you have to have it all!!? This package includes the basic kit (paper pack, accessory guide and stamp set) along with all of the additional accessories required to fully "bling-out" your layouts. What's best is you go home with all the accessories and the EXCLUSIVE stamp set to make countless fun projects later on!
The workshop guide now includes a cutting guide and instructions for six cards showing off an exclusive new pattern in three different ways (2 of each= 6 cards). The card workshop features the exact same paper pack, stamp set and accessories and can be created alongside the feature layout and because we love you so much and still want to offer you three layouts for each workshop we will be designing the additional four pages such that the cards can be made from your extra paper; all you will need is blank card bases.

Because the card workshop uses the same paper and embellishments as the layouts the pricing options for the card only workshop are the same as the layouts. During the card workshop we will complete the six cards from the workshop guide and you will go home with instructions for either the featured layout of six additional cards from either Originals or Wishes!

Technique Classes:
As promised, this fall we will be hosting technique classes each month featuring exciting stamping and scrapbooking techniques. The cost of each class will be a low $5.00 and we will teach you the featured technique and incorporate it into a card. We will also be giving you an instruction page to which you can adhere a sample of the technique to look back on and remember at home.
We are very open to hearing your suggestions and would love it if you emailed us if there is a specific technique you would like to see featured.

Retreats:
Album Retreat / Crop:
We are fast approaching our first annual Album Retreat / Crop in Blairmore AB, November 20th - 22nd 2009 and there are still spaces available! You will have the choice to just crop all weekend, eat and have some fun, or you may choose to join us in the completion of an album. There will be fun games and draws for free products over the weekend.
As many of you have long been anticipating, we will be putting on an Album Class this year during the Blairmore scrapbook retreat. We will be completing 10 two-page layouts using a wide variety of CTMH products and new techniques. The cost for this portion of the event is $200.00 and includes all materials needed including a My Legacy Linen Album in your choice of Color. You may also upgrade to a Leather Album for $30.00 more.
This year we are working with Carmen Gareau, a travel agent out of Nanton to put on this fabulous event and all payments can be processed through Carmen directly or through Deborah, who will pass it on to Carmen. The Album is a separate portion of the retreat all together, and can be dealt with directly through Deborah either by phone (403-938-7498) or email skowd@telus.net
Room rates (including excellent meals) are as follows:
a) $180.00 for a single room (1 person per room)
b) $160.00 for double occupancy room (2 people per room with 2 beds)
c) $140.00 for triple/quad occupancy room (3/4 people per room with 2 beds or 2 people
per room sharing bed).
